Overview

How Kitchen Printing works

As soon as an order is placed, a ticket is sent to your kitchen thermal printer over your local network. If the printer is briefly offline, Oplyx POS keeps the job queued and retries instead of losing it.

ESC/POS printing over your local network
Automatic retry, with attempts and the last error tracked
An alert in the admin panel when the printer is offline, with unprinted orders still on screen
Reprint any kitchen ticket from the order
What you get

Kitchen Printing, in practice.

1

Prints itself

Every placed order becomes a print job and is sent to the printer as soon as it is saved.

2

What's on the ticket

The table number, order number, time, items, quantities and any special notes.

3

When the printer drops

The job stays queued and retries automatically. The admin panel shows an alert, and unprinted orders remain visible on screen as a backup.

4

On-site by design

Thermal printers live on your local network, so a small printer bridge runs on-site next to the printer.
